Close Encounters

asteroidIt turns out that scientists were minutes from announcing that an asteroid could hit Earth within a couple of days last month, after having decided that 2004 AS1 had a one-in-four chance of hitting the planet, causing loss of life potential worth than the September 11 terrorist attacks.
